AIR SEA RESCUE HYDROFOIL From the 1965 TV series ‘Thunderbirds’ created by Gerry Anderson

This is conventional rescue boat, or Hydrofoil. It is featured in ‘Operation Crash Dive’, ‘The Imposters’ and ‘The Man from MI5’. The boat model is based largely on a Vosper Triple Screw Turbine Yacht toy. The Hydrofoil aspect was added by the Anderson team and additinal detail was added to amke it suitabel for filming. This is one of those sort of throwaway vehicles that enriches the 21st Century world.
