GRAF & STIFT 0-120

From the 1969 MGM film ‘WHERE EAGLES DARE’ written by ALISTAIR MACLEAN.

This fictional World War Two adventure film starring RICHARD BURTON and CLINT EASTWOOD was a massive hit and continues to thrill and entertain audience today. it is not the most accurate film - the GRAF & STIFT did not come into service until the 1950s.

BURTON was a massive star at the time and solicited acclaimed author ALISTAIR MACLEAN to write a story in the spirit of the 1961 classic ‘THE GUNS OF NAVARONE’. Anyone who has seen the film is familiar with the phrase ‘Broad Sword calling Danny Boy’.

This would have made a nice kit in 1/32nd, a nice companion to the World War One London bus and large scale military vehicles like ‘Monty’s Humber’. I can see it now in white, or possibly bright red plastic!
