HELIJET 1C from the 1965 TV Series Thunderbirds Created by Gerry Anderson
Helijets were a unique invention for Thunderbirds - the futuristic equivalent of Helicopters today. There were several different types and sizes featured in several episodes, This one is seen briefly in ‘Desperate Intruder’. Professor Blakely had been overwhelmed by the Hood and is taken to a hospital.
This scene does not appear in the episode, but I wanted to show this ‘air ambulance’ type aircraft in action. The Hospital is made up by me with to look like something hat could have appeared in the show. With emergency vehicles to boot. Glanville Hospital is named after Christine Glanville one of the two puppet supervisors (with Mary Turner).
