FAB 2 From the 1965 TV series ‘Thunderbirds’ created by Gerry Anderson

This is Lady Penelope’s luxury yacht as seen in ‘The Man from MI5’, when Lady Penelope and Parker investigate the destruction of a seemingly innocuous boat in the south of France.

Unfortunately the boat does not display any of the special hardware that Fab 1 is known for. But it is a very pretty boat and beautifully realised on screen via miniature approximately 2 feet in length. It appears to have been scratch built. a model kit in this scale would be 20” in length similar, about the same a the Airfix 1/600th scale QE2. White plastic would be a must.

I wanted to convey the glamour of the location as well as a nice angle on the boat itself. The still water, and fireworks seemed like a great combination to set the scene.
