FOGGY STREET Matte Painting

This was done as a bit of fun, taking an old vertically oriented picture of the street on a foggy (or is that misty?) day, and expanding it left and right.

Everything from the centre of the tree to the left side of the frame and a small patch of the lower wall and to the right of that is painted. No cloning or other photo-manipulation. All hand painted in Photoshop on a Surface Book.

It was a foggy day and the handling of the condensation on the car was a big part of the challenge as there are no real reflections to speak of. The front of the car (from the photograph) shows a diffused almost air-brushed look! The lack of clear light direction and no real shadows in the picture also made getting any sort of believability difficult.

Overall not wholly successful, but an interesting exercise and something to revisit
