JET RANGER II - BELL 206B - from the TV series ‘Chopper Squad’.

‘Chopper Squad was an Australian TV show from the late 1970s, and was shown on ITV on Saturday Mornings. The show follows the daily adventures of the Surf Life Saving Associations’ rescue team. Jebbie, Phil and Barry the Pilot. I have fond memories of the sun drenched episodes and likeable team of heroes.

The painting shows the Bell 206B Jet Ranger II that was the star of the show. Corgi Toys made a small ‘Matchbox’ sized chopper and a larger scale toy (along with a Daily Planet, Stromberg, Drax and other Jet Rangers seen in other popular films and TV of the the era).
