From the Gerry Anderson TV Series ‘JOE 90’. This model is converted from an Airfix 1/72nd scale Angel Interceptor, with wings and tail planes and fins from a 1/144 scale F111 ‘Aardvark’. The rest of the plane was scratch-built or kit bashed from other spare parts.

The original model was designed by MIKE TRIM and built by Derek Meddings’ VFX team. This was itself customized from an Angel Interceptor leftover from the prior series CAPTAIN SCARLET AND THE MYSTERONS and was approximately 1/24th scale, with parts from an F-111 (1/48th scale) available at the time.
