PULP TALES

This painting was done as a speculative concept for a proposed book comprising a collection of Classic ‘Pulp’ Sci-Fi and Mystery tales. The idea was a classic pulp book or magazine cover in the vein of the classic sci-fi, noir or crime stories of the 1940s and 50s . Inspired by Saturday morning serials, pulp-y crime paperback novels, sci-fi comic books and magazines and film noir films. All great fun.
